About Sunnyvale Montessori Minds
A Montessori environment is a carefully prepared space designed to foster independence, curiosity, and a love of learning in children. It features child-sized furniture, open shelves, and a variety of hands-on, self-correcting materials that cater to different stages of development. The environment is calm, orderly, and aesthetically pleasing, encouraging focus and purposeful activity. Children are free to move around, choose their work, and engage in tasks at their own pace, under the gentle guidance of a trained teacher. This setup supports the development of concentration, coordination, and a sense of responsibility, laying the foundation for lifelong learning.
Montessori educators refer to the first three years of a child's development as the "Joyful Child." At Sunnyvale Montessori Minds, we prepare the child not just for kindergarten, but for life. About the Director
Manori Jayasinghe
Manori has devoted 35+ years of her teaching career to the cause of Montessori education. She has worked successfully with the Montessori method and techniques while supervising the work of teacher-trainees when teaching at various schools.
